Kell Brook's British Welterweight Title against John O'Donnell will not go ahead after both parties promoters requested that the purse bids due for this contest did not go ahead.
The announcement was made today by the British Boxing Board of Control and came as something of a surprise - O'Donnell's camp (Hennessey Sports) only agreed to Kell Brook's recent defence against Michael Lomax on the privoso that they would face the challenger.
It now seems certain that Brook will take part in a best of Britian clash against Chorley's Michael Jennings. Both boxers are promoted by Frank Warren and Brook has already spoken of his desire to make a statement by stopping Jennings quicker than Miguel Cotto did in February this year (5 rounds).
