British Super Middleweight Championship
The British Boxing Board of Control has approved a voluntary defence by Tony Quigley against Brian Mcgee to take place at the Liverpool Olympia on Saturday, 4th July 2009.
The winner must defend the Championship against Paul Smith by the end of October 2009. Failure to do so will result in the Championship being declared vacant and Paul Smith will contest the vacant Championship against a nominated contender.
Therefore, purse offers for Quigley vs. Smith are suspended and new bids will be put out for Quigley/Magee vs. Smith following the meeting of the Stewards of the Board to take place on Wednesday, 8th July 2009, to be opened on Wednesday, 12th August 2009, with the contest to take place by the end of October 2009.
